Summer Camp
Usually a lot of troops like to find a summer camp they like and go to it each year. Troop 180 however, switches summer camps each year, allowing the boys to see different summer camps each year. In 2015 we went to Tuckahoe, in 2016 we went to Conestoga, and in 2017 we went to Goshen, and in 2018 we will be going to Sinaqwipe. We have revisited summer camps before, but not consecutively. One great thing about going to different camps each year is that the boys can have a chance to get more merit badges from summer camp. Some summer camps have different merit badges, so switching each year can give a better variety. In addition, changing camps provides more of a sense of adventure, such as getting to experience a different place, with a different terrain per camp. We usually book summer camp around July, giving the boys a month in the summer before the week long camp (for the ones who sign up).
